These workshops explore the culture and key events of ancient civilisations, offering children an opportunity to try out the customs and rituals of these very difficult lifestyles which require participants to use understanding and information to make decisions in role.

Ancient Egypt

Workshop explores: The importance of the Gods and the Pharaoh, Pyramids, the Nile, floods and irrigation. The ritual of death, Hall of Osiris and the Howard Carter discoveries and the curse of Tutankhamen’s tomb.

The Aztecs

Workshop explores: The creation of Tenochtitlan, the Gods and sacrifice, the Arrival of Cortez and the Conquistadors - participants will witness these strange bearded invaders bring about the destruction of Montezuma, his people and their magnificent city.
