P&G Surrey Youth Games

The P&G Surrey Youth Games is the largest annual youth sporting event in Surrey and involves over 3,500 young people across the county. Why not register your child for a great opportunity during this momentous year for sport!

Team Tandridge are looking for enthusiastic individuals who live and/or go to school in the Tandridge district to compete in the P&G 2012 Surrey Youth Games.

What are the P&G Surrey Youth Games?

The P&G Surrey Youth Games is a really exciting sporting event which allows young people of all ages to play a range of sports at a competitive level, against teams from the other 10 boroughs and districts of Surrey. It is a great opportunity to make some new friends and try your hand at some sports that you may not have played before.

One of the main aims of the games is to encourage young people to develop their sporting skills and promote physical activity as well as fair play in sport. You don’t have to be great at sport to take part, in fact you have to be below county standard. There are lots of different sports included in this year's games, you can take your sport to a new level or try something completely new.

Its aims:
• to celebrate youth sport
• to provide meaningful activities for young people
• to provide focus and tangible outcomes for sports development work
• to create a spirit of friendly competition
• to demonstrate co-operative working between authorities
• to demonstrate and promote the value of sports development
• to provide competition for young people with sporting potential

Eligibility:
• you must live or go to school in the District of Tandridge
• be of the correct age and gender for the sport you wish to take part in
• be below county standard in the sport you wish to take part in
• you must want to have loads of fun!

Tandridge Trust will be running free and open trials and training sessions in a wide range of sports.

Please click on the link below to see the SYG brochure which has the dates and times of the SYG trials and training.

Qualified coaches will run all sports, with the majority having direct links with local clubs with junior sections so it is a perfect chance to meet a club and join in with them to continue playing your chosen sport.
