Sports: Active Surrey

The partnership between our Sports Development Team and Active Surrey allows the public to participate in accessible events co-ordinated by our Sports Development Team.

Our Sports Development team contributes toward gather local data for Active Surrey which in turn provides information for participants on, playing, coaching and volunteering in sport.  All of which contribute towards Active Surrey’s vision – to make Surrey a more active and successful sporting county.

We also simultaneously work with Active Surrey and National Governing Bodies to help local sports clubs achieve Club Mark status.

Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge Club Forums 

Growing Your Club – FREE attendance!

In January 2012 Active Surrey and your local sports development team will be organising a local Club Forum for your club to get involved with. Attending a 2012 Club Forum will set your club up ready for the excitement of the year ahead and aim to guide you on:

• Marketing advice to help your club to attract new members
• Business essentials information for clubs and coaches
• Funding advice – Rbsport, Small Grants, Sportivate, Inspired Facilities and local opportunities

Following your feedback at the last forums, speakers from GB Sport will be delivering two sessions to provide expert knowledge on sports marketing and business practice to help your club succeed and grow in these difficult times.

Your local forum will be attended by the Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge Sports Development Officers and your local sports council (rbSport) and contain borough specific information, including an update on school sport. The forum is a great opportunity to meet and talk to local officers, and other clubs, about developing your club.
