Sports: In the Community

We are passionate about sports development and work in partnership with Active Surrey, National Governing bodies for sport, local schools and sports clubs to help reinforce the impact of sports development in Tandridge.  Our Sports Development Team always endeavour to find new and innovative ways to increase participation in sports and physical activity in Tandridge.

Inspire your community to get more active in 2012

Community Games are a way for communities across Surrey to come together to stage their own local event and feel part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Community Games include sporting and cultural activities and are run by, and for, local communities.

A 'community' could be a geographical area, faith group, residents association, school, business or simply a group of like-minded people. A Community Games is likely to be a new event, but support is also available to enhance / expand existing events.

- Bespoke posters and postcards
- Event marketing on the national website, www.communitygames.org.uk
- Free training to help volunteers to organise and market a successful event
