National Pool Lifeguard Courses

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is a nationally recognised qualification within the Leisure Industry. The course comprises of physical training and theoretical classroom work, followed by a practical in-water and out-of-water assessment on pool rescue, first aid, CPR and lifesaving skills. There is a minimum hourly requirement to achieve the qualification so 100% attendance is compulsory.

The cost of the course is £250,the cost includes assessment fees and candidate manual. Full payment Is required at time of booking to secure the place.

To take part in the course all participants need to be at least 16 years of age, and 100% attendance is required. Participants need to be strong swimmers and be able to swim 400m front crawl and back crawl and to be able to swim 50m in under 1 minute and submerge to at depth of 1.8metres. The course involves theory work and practical work with a written exam at the end.
