Press release from Tandridge District Council: 
New sport and leisure provider for the district plans to invest £2.2 million in local facilities. Last night’s Resources Committee agreed to support new arrangements which, if implemented, will see Freedom Leisure take over the running of the Tandridge Leisure Centre in Oxted and The Village Health Club in Caterham.

I have worked at Tandridge Leisure Centre, Oxted, since it opened in April 1990, one of the original members of staff! That summer I gained my original Swimming Teachers’ Certificate and over the next 10 years I gradually added to that certificate with Parent & Child, Swimming for Disabilities, Synchronised Swimming, Flip & Fun, Mini Water Polo and Life Saving and Lifeguarding.
