Theatre Exchange: Victorian Visionaries
Children experience the world of a Victorian child at work in mines, the factory, in service and in the school room, and asks the participating children to analyse and empathise with the decisions Victorian children were required to make. Also explored are the effects of the Victorian age in Britain, its scientific, social and economic developments and its impact of the world we live in today.
A Christmas Carol
This workshop complements our Victorians experience and explores the social impact of Charles Dickens, whilst re-creating this classic tale. This experience can be booked as a workshop and performance and is usually available from November through to December.
'I was shy when I started to talk in the workshop, but now I think I want to be an actor in next year’s Christmas play'. Lucy, year 6 pupil
